![]() ![]() So, I went to Pain and Pleasure because I had never heard anything negative about them but when I came in I was literally shocked by how I was treated. I went in Friday, March 8th unexpectedly because Sandusky Tattoo, which is where I usually go because of a friend who works there, was closed. Its safe to say that I will not be returning. This entire occurrence has ruined my opinion of the establishment completely. I have gone to Pain and Pleasure for all my piercings (snakebites, eyebrow, bellybutton and tongue) and they used to be my absolute favorite place, always nice, polite and helpful. Through this entire event he was extremely frustrated sounding, rude and it was just really unpleasant. When i made the appointment he never asked so i was instantly upset that he blamed this on me as well. So I show him a picture and explain to him that I wanted it wrapped around my arm and he then goes on about how he wont have time bc I told him when setting up the appointment that I didnt want it to wrap all the way around. ![]() I took the blame anyway because I didnt want to ruin the experience. I walk in for my appointment and he is INSTANTLY rude and moody saying I never sent in a reference for him to look at even though he never once mentioned it. I waited a week and I was super excited to finally be getting this done. Well during that time he never asked me to send him anything to do with my tattoo he just wanted to see a picture so I assumed he was just going to remember it because he never said anything more. When I first set up the appointment for my tattoo the owner (I think his name was Rob) seemed like he was in a bad mood but I played it off for a bad day. ![]() The experience I have had today has been disappointing. I’m sure Michelle does amazing work on other parts of the body, but I feel like I was a guinea pig with this particular piercing and then ripped off when it wasn’t done correctly. It was inevitably going to migrate and/or be ripped out and cause damage.I would not recommend this shop to anyone based on this experience. My piercing had barely half of that amount of tissue, and with 16g jewelry even though 14g is the professionally recommended minimum gauge for this piercing. Having this redone at the same shop puts me at risk of getting this painful piercing performed incorrectly a second time, and I (think understandably) don’t want to risk it.Everything online, including published journals from the APP, state that a minimum of 3/8” of tissue is required for this piercing to be performed safely. Michelle was very sweet about it, but I am pretty upset that I’m out $150. ![]() I was offered credit to have it re-pierced. The shop owner would not refund me, nor did anyone else come in to see if the piercing was actually placed correctly. She took out a ruler and measured the amount of skin in the piercing, which she said was 1/2cm and adequate for the piercing.I told her I was worried it was unsafe the way it was placed, and I asked her to remove it. I contacted her the next afternoon, and she asked me to come in for her to check it out. It looked like it would be easily ripped out because not much tissue was in it, especially in that delicate area. I was excited to get the piercing, so I left happy and grateful that she came in on her day off to make it happen. However, after having a good look at the piercing when I got home, I realized it was pierced much too shallow. She was so friendly, and everything was so clean and professional. Michelle came in after hours to pierce my VCH, which was really awesome of her. ![]()
